the military, the Catholic Church, e-harmony

here’s yet another club that won’t have you for a member, my gay brothers and sisters, but my question is Whyever would you want to belong? Not all forbidden fruit is tasty, and e-harmony is particularly bland (and overpriced).

I read an article about eharmony you linked to in an earlier blog posting. I am glad I did. I am done with internet dating, but if I ever changed my mind that would have been a site I would have tried. I hate giving my money to groups like that and your post helped me to avoid that.

So bad karma comes to harmony. Would they be in constitutional trouble if they’d honestly presented themselves as a Christian entity in the first place?

    Good point kmcleod.

A similar point could be made about Blockbuster which reserves ( and exercises ) the right to edit out scenes from videos that they find objectionable…..mostly sex. They don’t label these videos as altered or otherwise tell their customers unless they are asked first.

Like eharmony they are motivated by their “christian” ethics to take the actions they do, but they are not motivated by ethics enough to be upfront about it, which I think is critical in these situations for being truly honest, because that would involve risking business.
